Newborn baby and big brother photos melt my heart!!

I love when big brother poses for photos with their new baby!

Big brother Henry was a pro and we didn’t have to work for these photos.

Someday they will love having these which make me so happy and gives my work great purpose.

Baby Holden was the perfect little model! Just look at that hair!!

He acted like he has done this before! He went into every pose like a pro!

I love getting a few photos of baby with their eyes open! It changes the whole way they look.

Holden obliged by opening his eyes and quickly falling back to sleep!

I recommend booking your newborn session at the start of your 2nd trimester to ensure a spot on my schedule! I only take a limited number of newborn sessions per month to accomodate any changes I may need to make! Getting baby in for their photos between 5-14 days is ideal since they will go into poses better and are still sleepy.

Baby Jay Photo Session | Sneak Peek

He was 8 pounds 11 ounces when he was born and had the sweetest little lips and cheeks!

I love creating a custom newborn session and this little guy rocked his session! What can I say about this little cutie!? He was the perfect little subject and had the most flawless skin! He let me pose him however I wanted and didn’t fuss!

Mom and Dad wanted to incorporate their love of Harry Potter into Bennett’s session and I was SO excited! I found the perfect little outfit and as you can see, he totally nailed it!

Troy Michigan Newborn Photographer | Keshav’s Newborn Session

Newborn sessions are my absolute favorite sessions! I mean, I get to snuggle and pose babies, what could be more fun than that? Baby Keshav was the second newborn of 2017 in the MAP studio and the first baby boy! Keshav was born January 28, 2017 at 8 lbs and 20 inches long. He was 7 days old at his session.

What a cutie-patootie! Look at that hair!! Eeeekkkk! He had LOTS of smiles during his newborn session. Probably the most I have seen in my 5 years of photographing newborns! Mom and Dad brought grandparents from both sides to get photos with baby and he was all smiles! I just love it! He was not sleepy for most of his session, which actually gave us the opportunity to get some with his eyes open. I LOVE those rare shots.

BIRMINGHAM MICHIGAN | NEWBORNS

I had so much fun snuggling and photographing little Zavian! He was 7 days old at his session, which turned out to be perfect. He was 8 lbs 15 ounces and 21 inches long when he was born. Mom picked a neutral look and really wanted the little naked bum up pose and he did not disappoint! He was such a good baby! He let me pose him easily and slept really good. He woke up at the very end of his session and I just LOVE the way he focused in, without the cross eyed newborn look you sometimes get. It was like he was looking right into my soul with his huge brown eyes. I really love getting some open-eyed shots in my galleries along with the sleepy poses, parents love them and so do I! I found out that he LOVES his head rubbed! So sweet!

Zavian was such a snuggler and so sweet, I could have photographed him ALL DAY. Mom and Dad were so in love with their precious little first boy and who could blame them! I fell in love too! Love the neutral colors against his skin and the pop of blues are perfect!

It is best to book your newborn session in advance, usually during the 2nd trimester, to ensure I will have your date open. I prefer to photograph newborns between 5-12 days new. I serve Birmingham Michigan and surrounding areas. I now offer my Momma’s hair and makeup services and have a dedicated area in my studio just for newborns and their families! Derek | Troy Michigan | Newborn Photographer

Another baby boy is the studio! I started out with baby girls the beginning of 2016 and am definitely ending with baby boys! Baby boy Derek is baby #3 and has an older brother Gabriel, and sister, Emery. They absolutely LOVE their baby brother!

Derek was born November 16, 2016 and weighed 8 lbs 5 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. At our session he was 15 days new and very alert! He was such a beautiful baby boy! I love the open eyed shot we got. I really love it when I can get those because they are super cute and it doesn’t always happen!

We decided to do some Christmas photos and I love his little tushie up pose! So cute! Big brother and big sister loved the Christmas set-up! I try to make the sessions fun for older siblings by making them laugh, having them help, and making them feel special. They usually have shorter attention spans, so bringing along a favorite toy, book or even an Ipad or tablet with a game and of course some snacks, can be a great way to keep them occupied. These two did great and it is always funny to put your little brother in a crate,( and other things!) and I am sure he will endure many things being the youngest, but as the oldest of 2, I can say that even though we relentlessly tease our younger siblings, we also will defend and protect them at all costs. This baby boy will be well protected and very loved!

I would love to create your newborn session! Booking in the 2nd trimester is ideal to ensure you get on my schedule in the 5-14 day window I prefer, but I can also accommodate sessions of babies that have already been born and will sometimes still be able to get the sleepy, curly poses.
