The Raymo Family was so much fun!  We had an amazing and fun session at one of my favorite spots in Birmingham!  We had great weather and enough fall color to make the background beautiful.

These kids were just a blast to photograph!   Fall is one of my most favorite times of the year to do family photos and it is also the most popular time of the year for photos.  You can see why.  The colors photograph beautifully and I love the outfits my clients choose too.  I just LOVE Mom’s dress and the colors in little sister’s dress that pulls everything together.

I love how they included their dog in the session as well.  You can really tell how much they love him, and each other!

Cake smash photography sessions are sweet, a little messy and my favorite, especially when the subject is sweeter than the cake!

I can’t believe this little sweet guy is already 1 year old!  I first met Lachlan at his newborn session and fell in love with him and his parents!  I was so lucky to have photographed his a few times over this year and he is always so sweet and we always get the most adorable shots!

I absolutely LOVE the blue and gold his Momma chose for his cake smash session!

I also LOVE his little outfit for his one year portraits!  EKKKK!  Lachlan is stylin’!

I love being a newborn baby photographer and with adorable clients like Sterling Maximus, it makes my job so fun and easy!

This little guy was absolutely adorable!  He really loved being wrapped AND having his head rubbed…. but he didn’t like waiting to eat!

Once he had a full tummy again, he let me continue, and we got some adorable poses, including Harry Potter which was requested by Mom & Dad!

I really love the photos of baby Sterling with his Mom & Dad.  You can just see the love they have for him!

We had a absolutely gorgeous day for Amanda’s senior photos!

Our first location was at awesome graffiti walls in Detroit!  Amanda brought her lizard with her to join in along with her friend, Mom and 2 special doggies!  I just LOVE the colors of the graffiti walls!  It makes the most perfect backdrop for senior photos!

 

Amanda totally rocked her session!  From outfits, to hair and makeup to posing, she REALLY nailed it!

Our second location is one of my favorites!  Again, her outfits were perfect for the location!  She made my job so easy!

Baby Carl was born 6-14-17 at 8 lbs 1 oz and 20.5 inches long!   His cheeks and lips were to die for!  He was so sweet and slept almost the entire session!  Mom and Dad wanted to incorporate a baseball theme in some of the photos and brought in the cutest baby Detroit Tigers jersey, a glove, baseball and bat!  Of course, I love getting creative and he cooperated with all the poses!  I love capturing all the little details, lips, ears, fingers and of course toes!

He opened his eyes for a minute and then…

Studio newborn photos are one of my favorite sessions!

Baby Scarlett visited me for her first photo shoot last month and was a dream baby her entire session!  She even gave us some smiles when she was snuggled up with Mom & Dad!  She let me pose her and put her in cute baskets and never fussed.  Her eyelashes are SO long  and she had the most perfect rosy cheeks!  It was hard not to fall in love with her!  Mom & Dad are so in love with sweet Scarlett and you can see by the photos that she loves them too!

I love my studio and create a warm, cozy, relaxed atmosphere for you and your new baby, that is stocked with lots of fun baby wraps, bows, and cute props for you to choose from to make your session perfect!  I offer a stocked fridge with drinks and a snack bar too!  Studio newborn photos are great for more of a posed portrait session.  I love them because it allows me to be creative, which as an artist, is the best thing ever!  I love creating art for your walls and strive to incorporate colors that will coordinate with your home and keep props to a minimum to create clean, classic and timeless images.

We will start with parent & sibling shots, since it does get warm in the studio, that way you will be picture perfect!  I will then move onto some of just baby.  I love to capture all their tiny details…fingers, toes, nose, ears, etc…  Baskets and props and even some rare and unique items are available to choose from in your session as well.  I have tons of color options and even outfits for boys and girls!   I also encourage you to bring in items that are special to you and baby to be incorporated into your portraits.

I recommend booking about 3 months in advance of baby’s due date to ensure a spot in my schedule.   I typically schedule my newborn sessions in the mornings around 10am, or afternoon around 1pm and have designated spots just for them!  We will schedule a tentative date based on your baby’s due date and move as needed based on baby’s arrival!  If baby has already arrived, don’t worry!  I may have a spot in my schedule available just for you!

When is the last time you had professional portraits done?

I LOVE FALL!  I also love engagement sessions!  And it is even better when the engagement session is your daughter and future son-in-law!  I first met Sebastian when Ashlyn was in high school.  She was on the dance team and performed during half time at the football games.  I remember her pointing him out on the field and told me that she heard he liked her.  According to her, he finally got up the nerve to ask her out.  They started dating and the rest is as they say, is history!  I immediately liked and trusted him and they seemed to really click.  They have been through a lot together over the last 5 years.  When he told me he was going to propose to her, I knew she would be happy and I was too.  I was also excited to capture their engagement photos!!

We picked a gorgeous Fall day in late November.    I planned on going to my go-to location at a beautiful park, but I am so glad Ashlyn didn’t want to do that.  She loves to be different and in this case, it really worked!  It was a spot I had driven by almost every day and in the fall is absolutely gorgeous.  The leaves were orange and bright as the sun and the trees were tall and beautiful, even so late in the season.

During the session I managed to hold back the tears, except for once!  I managed to capture their true personalities and their strong love for each other.  Also their love of football, especially the Detroit Lions.  I sent them to their car to change shirts and had her engagement ring to do some ring shots and accidently dropped it in the leaves and for about a full minute I could not find it!!  I told her later and she just laughed, but that was a scary moment!!

It was truly an honor to be able to photograph them over the years and see their love grow.  I can’t wait to see what they will do in their lives together.  Now wish me luck on the wedding planning!  Thank goodness we already have a photographer!  (p.s. it is not me!)
