Newborn Photography Troy Michigan | Ruth’s Newborn Session

Baby girl Ruth came in for her newborn photography session in my Troy, Michigan studio and was the second baby that I photographed for this sweet family. She is just as beautiful as her big sister. I love seeing my clients return as their family grows! Mom picked neutrals for baby’s session palette and it was absolutely perfect! She had the BEST hair and looked so beautiful in all her images!

Big sister didn’t want to cooperate for the sibling photos laying down, so we did something different with her and put her next to baby who was in a cute little bowl and stuck treats inside the wrap so she would look like she was a little more excited! It worked like a charm!

All wraps, headbands and props are provided by Melissa’s studio collection and is available to all clients. Newborn Sessions are scheduled in advance. I recommend booking your newborn photography around 20 weeks. Due dates are held on my schedule and once baby has made their arrival we will schedule the session date. All sessions take place in my Troy, Michigan studio at 10 o’clock in the morning and run about two to three hours.

Pink and Gold Cake Smash time! They are my favorite!! It brings out my princess side…I mean who doesn’t love a little bit of bling?

Miss Veronika has been coming to me since she was a newborn and I just can’t believe she is already 1 year old! She was born on Valentine’s Day 2018, so we had to incorporate some hearts too! She did not like being messy at all, but loved the washtub and her music!

Newborn Photos | Metro Detroit Baby Photographer

This tiny little guy came into the studio for newborn photos last month, with his parents and big sister! He was FULL of smiles and was so easy to pose and was such a snuggly baby that loved being wrapped and didn’t mind changing outfits. He is such an adorable little guy, I seriously could have kept him all day!!

Newborn photos are typically scheduled during the 2nd trimester for about 1 week after baby’s due date. This date may be moved based on baby’s actual arrival. I prefer to do the sessions between 5-14 days old. I only book 12 newborns a month so I have room to move appointments as needed. Parent and siblings are welcome to join in and be photographed. All sessions are styled with props and outfits, headbands and wraps in your choice of style and colors. We send you a questionnaire for session planning when you book your session along with a wardrobe guide for you. Professional hair and makeup can be added to your session and would be done in my studio prior to the session by one of my stylists. Professional hair and makeup is recommended and can be done at your own salon as well.

Newborn photos are a once in a lifetime event and since they grow and change SO fast, I recommend capturing all the tiny details when you can!

Early Bird pricing is only $97 and includes your choice of backdrop , a beautiful canvas photo ornament, $47 print credit towards product of your choice, the kids get to write a letter to Santa and mail them, or you can keep them for a souvenir, and the session is 15-20 minutes and can be your entire family, or just the kids, and convenient, in home online ordering, in your pajamas with a glass of wine.

Special priced collections and products such as Christmas cards are available. And, orders will be ready before Christmas!

Troy Michigan Baby Milestone Session-Brooklyn

I love following families from newborn through their first year! Sometimes I meet my littles when they are a little bit older. Brooklyn came in for a milestone session and she brought her big sister and Mom & Dad too! Mom didn’t get newborn portraits, so we tried to get Brooklyn to sleep, but that wasn’t happening! I love how energetic she was and she was a happy girl. I love the shots of her in the bowl, and Mom brought in the shirts and the heart shaped prop, which completed the session perfectly.

These two girls were so cute and made my job so easy! I loved how attentive big sister was and she sure loves her baby sister.

I book milestone sessions for 3-4 months, 6-8 months (when they are sitting on their own) and 12 months!

Birmingham, Michigan | Milestone Session | Lachlan Victor

A milestone session is one of my FAVORITES!

I LOVE seeing my newborns back for their milestone sessions! Sweet Lachlan is 6 months old (already) and such a cutie!! I was so excited to see him today! We had some below normal temps and some wind, but he did great! Quarton Lake park in Birmingham, Michigan, was the PERFECT location and we found a cozy spot without as much wind to capture some adorable photos! It is always nice to get out of the studio and use nature as our backdrop! Now that it is spring, I will be outside much more!

Kassidy Faith | Cake Smash | Royal Oak, Michigan

It is CAKE SMASH TIME with Miss Kassidy Faith! One of my most favorite session! YAY!!

Kassidy is a July baby and Mom wanted a Fourth of July theme, which I was super excited about it! It was SO perfect! I just loved the red, white and blue! Mom made her little tutu to match her theme and it was the most PERFECT touch for her session, along with the hair bow. So bright and colorful!

Kassidy did not stop smiling her entire session! She was so excited about the cake and we barely got her down and situated before she dug in! It was the easiest session ever! Probably the first time I didn’t have to be silly to get a few smiles! I love how she rolled in her smashed up cake!

Kassidy LOVED smashing her cake and she LOVED the washtub afterward. She was COVERED in cake, so she went in the tub with her outfit on and we cleaned her off while she played with rubber ducky and popped bubbles. Splish, splash!!

All of my cakes are made by The Bakery Waterford in Waterford, Michigan. They are the absolute best and even can accommodate gluten free and allergies.

I LOVE cake smash session so much and even love to pop all of the balloons after the session! All of my cake smash sessions include customized props in the colors of your choice, 1 hour studio session, one year portraits and a cake smash session with a basic smash cake. Washtub mini sessions can be added on for more fun and the kids LOVE them! It is a great way to get them clean!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, little Miss KASSIDY FAITH! I can’t wait to see you next time!
